I took a flight down to the somewhat warmer climes of Malmö today, to attend the opening night of Jekyll and Hyde at the Malmö Opera.
They are using my translation of the libretto. I really enjoyed just sitting the stalls/orchestra, listening to friends and colleagues on stage, and feeling pretty happy with my work. Ronny Danielsson, the director, has revamped parts of the show; adding dialog, roles and scenes, so I was kept on my toes (as it were) as the “new” parts of the show weaved themselves into the “old.”
And then champagne!
